The system helps to reduce the use of the generators because all electricity production takes place when the generators are most efficient.<\/p>\n
As a general rule, a generator produces four times more power per liter of diesel when it is running optimally compared to when it is idling. Diesel hybrid systems are equipped with controls that ensure the generators run optimally and start and stop automatically. <\/p>\n
This solution reduces generator running time, diesel consumption, noise and emissions. Fewer operating hours on the generator also means less maintenance. <\/p>\n
